Michael S. Meininger, MD, of Somerset Plastic Surgery and Somerset Research Center, is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in private practice in Troy, Michigan, a former assistant professor of surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and former chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Meininger serves as an attending surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Royal Oak and the Beaumont Macomb Surgery Center, as well as the UnaSource Surgery Center.
Dr. Meininger earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. Following a general surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, he completed his postgraduate studies through a reconstructive surgery fellowship at Atlanta Plastic Surgery in Georgia under the instruction of Carl R. Hartrampf, Jr. MD.
Dr. Meininger specializes in breast reconstruction, breast surgery, and body contouring.
